Sarina Wiegman’s side will enter that tournament this summer as defending champions. They captured a prestigious continental crown on home soil back in 2022. They will not be surrendering that title without a serious fight.

England have enough quality at their disposal to suggest that they can go back-to-back, with the likes of Mary Earps, Leah Williamson, Keira Walsh and Alessia Russo lining up down the spine of their team. Several other WSL stars are ready to make their mark on a major international tournament.
WHAT ALISHA LEHMANN SAID
Lehmann, who is now with Juventus after bidding farewell to English football in 2024, expects the Lionesses to be challengers on Swiss soil. She has told : “I think they have a great team, to be honest. They are always good. They have so many good players in the team, probably some of the best in the world.”

While England prevailed as hosts three years ago, the Netherlands did likewise in 2017. Asked if Switzerland can repeat that trick in 2025, Lehmann added: “I think all good things are three, right? So I think, yeah. There is always a chance in life. We will give our best, obviously, and prepare as good as we can.”
