Angel City's Christen Press scored a stunning strike in a 2-0 victory over the Utah Royals Friday evening, as the veteran forward scored her first goal of the season.
Press made an instant impact after she entered took to the pitch in place of Claire Emslie in the 65th minute, finding the back of the net roughly 25 seconds later for the eventual winning goal. The veteran striker curled a lovely effort into the top corner of the net after a cheeky move in the box to create space.

The match was the first shutout of the season for Angel City, who sit third in the league table after their Friday night victory that put them on 14 points on the season.
Press, a USWNT veteran, has made 155 appearances for her country, scoring 65 goals and recording 43 assists. She is also a two-time FIFA World Cup champion from 2015 and 2019, and helped lead the U.S. to a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympic Games.
Press, 36, agreed to a one-year extension with Angel City ahead of the 2025 NWSL season.
