Terry spent last season at Villa Park and lead the club to the play-off final, where a 1-0 loss to Fulham meant Steve Bruce’s side missed out on promotion to the Premier League at the final hurdle.
The loss had even bigger implications though as the club had relied on the money that the top tier would guarantee, meaning they faced a winding up order from HMRC before Wes Edens and Nassef Sawiris were able to buy a controlling stake in the club and start putting money back in.
Chelsea legend Terry had already left the club though and is now a free-agent, but Villa fans are clearly hoping that the 37-year-old will be tempted to come back, especially as the club have only James Chester and Manchester United loanee Axel Tuanzebe as recognised centre-backs in the squad.
