Ederson suffered a fractured eye socket when he collided with defender Cristian Romero during City's recent Premier League match against Tottenham. The injury saw the shot-stopper miss his team's title-clinching final league game of the season and he will also be out of next week's FA Cup final.

The 30-year-old will now also miss the Copa America in the United States, which begins on June 20. Brazil coach Dorival Junior has now replaced Ederson in his final squad for the tournament, having called up 34-year-old Sao Paulo goalkeeper Rafael, who has never represented the Selecao at senior level.
